Hudson cast in Secret Life of Bees

Oscar achiever Jennifer Hudson, Poof Latifah and Sophie Okonedo are to star in the boastfully screen adaption of the Eugene Sue Monk Kidd novel 'The Secret Life of Bees'.
Variety reports that Dakota Fanning and Alicia Keys are besides in negotiations to join the picture, which tells the story of a 14-year-old wHO runs away from home plate and is taken care of by deuce-ace eccentric beekeeping sisters.
Shooting on the film is due to start on 9 Jan in North Carolina.
'The Secret Life of Bees' is due out later this year.
