Detroit, MI's Walls of Jericho weren't simply luminary because they were a metalcore band with a uproarious female on vocals. They ar as well worth memory because they adeptly balanced old school hard core, lam alloy, and "chugga-chugga" metalcore with a furiousness and dedication nonpareil by many of their contemporaries. Containing onetime members of the band Earth Removal company, Walls of Jericho came unitedly in Sep of 1998 about Candace Kucsulain (vocals), Wes Keely (drums), Chris Rawson (guitar), Aaron Ruby (bass part division), and Microphone Hasty (guitar). They began playacting shows shortly after, supporting more established bands end-to-end the Midwest, forethought Buried Alive, Hatebreed, Racetraitor, Brother's Steward, and Extend to the Sky. Less than a year later, in Apr of 1999, the band issued a 7" EP through Underestimated, which was followed shortly thereafter by a CD EP containing that 7" and demonstration tracks, called A Mean solar day and a G Age, which was released by European imprint Jean Genet.
A buzz finally encircled Walls of Jericho in the international hardcore shot as they continued to play shows in staff of life and butter of their EP releases, attracting the attention of both Ferret and Trustkill Records. They sign a percentage out with the latter, which resulted in the Dec 1999 spillage of their debut uncut record album, The Boundary Feed the Gagged. The band encroach on the touring and hardcore festival racing circuit the following yr. In Aug of 2000 they toured the United States in support of Syracuse, NY, straight-edgers Earth Crisis, melodic Swedish death alloy band In Flames, and Oakland, CA's metallic Skinlab. Later on just about other pot of touring in 2001, Walls of Jericho lost their drummer to a larger, more than established band. Frustrated by their attempts to supercede him, they decided to call in it a day; Kucsulain went on to be a organic fertiliser structure piercer's learner, patch the rest of the band formed It's Wholly Gone to Blaze.
Only 2 eld later, Walls of Jericho got back together, reemerging with a freshly drummer (Alexi Rodriquez, erst of Katharsis) on board and a newfound energy Department to create euphony in concert. Their next record album, Whole Hail the Dead, appeared in betimes 2004 through Trustkill, and (as in the past times) the band hit the route hard in staff of life and butter. Rodriguez entirely of a sudden exited the pigeonholing that Dec, but finding a take turns this fourth dimension about was much easier, as the dance orchestra looked no further than long time acquaintance and ex-Premonitions of War drummer Dustin Schoenhofer, wHO united in early 2005. A drawing bowed stringed instrument of shows with Slug for My Valentine was played in spring 2006, in addition to a Canadian be given with Wholly That Remains and Unearth, in front the band hit up the sec arcdegree of the summer's Ozzfest. Recorded in Cleveland with producer Ben Schigel (Zao, Chimaira), their third gear full-length, With Devils Amongst Us Entirely, was issued that summer as advantageously.
