Nevermore straddles the line 'tween power metal, traditional heavy metallic element, and the present-day hard stone scene, eschewing the ridiculous theatrics of the "index scene" in favour of a darker step, while reaping the rewards of strain and the highflying vocal compass of singer Warrel Dane. The roots of the Seattle-based band canful be traced second to Sanctuary, with whom Nevermore's Dane and bassist Jim Sheppard recorded two albums. Sanctuary was one of a minuscule handful of late-'80s thrash metallic element bands to sign with a major label; they even enlisted Megadeth leader Dave Mustaine to grow their debut record album. Label-imposed limbo caused the band to grind to a stop, with one appendage besides exiting to act on more than "dirt"oriented music. Three members of the final batting order of Sanctuary reemerged as Nevermore, inking a world-wide deal with Century Media Records and cathartic a punishing eponymic debut album in 1995. The following year saw the banding issue a well-received EP, In Memory, that boasted breed tunes as intimately as Sanctuary material, which pleased many fans.

The Politics of Ecstasy, their second gear proper record album, was a dense, technical masterpiece that displayed the talents of guitarists Pat O'Brian and Jeff Loomis, and drummer Van Williams in especial. But it was with their future composition, the dark and conceptually determined Dreaming Neon Black, that Nevermore in truth caught the attending of cloggy music fans and earned the respect of the heavy metal weightlift. Voted Album of the Year by many publications, 1999's Dreaming Neon Black was a enlistment de force that highlighted Dane's soaring vocal range. It besides included fledgling (and onetime guitarist for Forbidden) Tim Calvert, world Health Organization replaced O'Brian when he split to conjoin Cannibal Corpse. After successful tours with Iced Earth and Mercyful Fate, the isthmus knew that they had a tough job ahead of them following up the well-received album. Now a four-piece subsequently the way out of Calvert, Nevermore entered a Texas studio with producer Andy Sneap and crafted a new record album that adeptly blended contemporaneous heavy sounds with traditional heavy metal. Dead Heart in a Dead World was released in 2000, and was supported on the route with a full U.S. enlistment with Swedish metallic element band In Flames and labelmates Shadows Fall.

Rescue Me will help ONeal: Leary

Tatum ONeals Rescue Me co-star Dennis Leary is convinced the drama series will help her stay sober because her character will also be forced to kick alcoholism, imdb.com reports.

She was charged with a minor narcotics offence earlier this month after police caught her exchanging money with a dealer three blocks from her New York home.

She claimed the incident was her first lapse in sobriety after a longterm battle with drug addition. ONeal subsequently joined a recovery program for alcoholics.

And Leary who plays ONeals brother on the show is convinced that as her character is battling a drinking problem in the upcoming second season, she will be able to put the experience to use in real life.

He tells AOL Television, (Her character, Maggie) got clean at the end of last year and we have this game plan for her that involves staying sober, so its probably gonna work in Tatums favour. We were in the middle of planning the next bulk of Tatums work before (her drug bust), so shes got a place to come back to.

Williams Dismisses Bust-up With Ledger's Parents

Michelle Williams has dismissed reports she is snubbing the premiere of Batman Begins sequel The Dark Knight because of a bust-up with her late boyfriend Heath Ledger's parents. Reports suggest Williams wouldn't attend the screening of Ledger's last complete film, because she is angry with Ledger's father Kim's handling of the actor's estate. But her representative Mara Buxbaum insists the claim is "absurd". She tells People.com, "The presumption that Michelle ever intended to attend The Dark Knight premiere is unfounded, but to say she is 'boycotting' due to a rift with Heath's family is absurd. "It is time to allow this family to go about their lives without this continued scrutiny and speculation." Ledger's parents and sister will jet to New York from their home in Australia to attend the premiere on 14 July - six months after Ledger took a fatal overdose of prescription drugs at his Manhattan home.

Her only former musical performance experience beingness a guitar triad that played at church, Joan Morbée formed Senses in 1994. In 1995, subsequently much crop on writing and a lineup change or deuce, Senses recorded a demo. The demonstration got a good response, but tensions within the grouping lead to a split. At this point, Morbée distinct to take a scrap of a break to regroup. Upon lining up fresh musicians and rehearsing, the grouping started performing gigs and talking about recording a replete CD. Tensions once more began to set upon the grouping, and in 1996, they stony-broke up once again. By late 1996, however, Morbée had brought together some other grouping of musicians and finally finished the CD that she had been working on for so long. The resulting CD, Fields Unsown, shows that Morbée is a strong songwriter and instrumentalist and that Senses may well have a very solid future ahead of them.

CSS close Glastonbury day two with dance party

CSS closed day two of Glastonbury 2008 in the early hours of this morning (June 29) on the Park Stage with a raucous, glitter-splattered set.

Taking the balloon-decorated stage at 12.05am (BST) singer Lovefoxxx, sporting an enormous woolly coat and white afro wig, screamed wildly at the audience then launched into 'Rat Is Dead (Rage)', which is on their forthcoming second album 'Donkey'.

The star then shed her coat to reveal a shiny golden jumpsuit before dancing manically and leading the crowd through a unified dance move. The Park Stage audience copied her arm-wave motion in time, creating a sea of flailing limbs.

CSS played a slew of new songs from 'Donkey', out July 21, including new single 'Left Behind'. During the song Lovefoxxx shed her golden catsuit to reveal a green and purple one beneath it.

The Brazillian band also played older numbers including 'Off The Hook', during which the singer swigged from a bottle of water then sprayed it from her mouth into the crowd.

During 'Alcohol' Lovefoxxx teased the crowd, pretending she was about to leap into the front row then backing off, drawing a particularly loud response from a section of the crowd from which a Brazillian flag was waving.

After playing another new album track - 'Reggae All Night' - Lovefoxxx revealed that the band, who had originally been scheduled to play at 11.30pm, would not be playing a full set.

"It took so long time setting up, so we had to cut it short," she said in a dismayed tone. "I know!" She exclaimed when the crowd boo-ed in response. "We've been waiting for this moment all our lives!"

CSS ended their set with a frenetic run-through of 'Alala'. The band fired glitter guns into the crowd at the death of the song then used them to smash up the stage wildly before finally heading off.

CSS played:

'Rat Is Dead (Rage)'
'Meeting Paris Hilton'
'This Month, Day 10'
'Left Behind'
'Off The Hook'
'Music Is My Hot Hot Sex'
'Alcohol'
'Reggae All Night'
'Let's Make Love And Listen To Death From Above'
'Alala'

Composer Hans Zimmer was born September 12, 1957 in Frankfurt, Germany; after relocating to London as a adolescent, he later wrote publicizing jingles for Air-Edel Associates, and in 1980 collaborated with the Buggles on their LP The Age of Plastic and its attendant score "Video Killed the Radio Star." A stretch with Ultravox followed in front Zimmer following surfaced with the Italian avant-garde group Krisma; he then formed a partnership with film composer Stanley Myers, and together they founded the London-based Lillie Yard recording studio. Zimmer and Myers' moving-picture show exercise of the period, which included material for pictures including Moonlighting, Winner Is the Best Revenge, Insignificance, and the acclaimed My Beautiful Launderette, made significant strides in fusing the traditional orchestral aesthetic of film composition with state of the art electronics, and proved highly influential on uncounted soundtracks to follow.

In 1986 Zimmer joined David Byrne and Ryuichi Sakamoto on their Oscar-winning score to The Last Emperor; his run on the apartheid drama A World Apart was his first-class honours degree major solo credit, and light-emitting diode to his Academy Award-nominated grievance for 1988's Best Picture-winning demolish Rain Man. The undermentioned year Zimmer once again composed the soundtrack for a Best Picture winner, this time Bruce Beresford's Driving Miss Daisy; a remarkably prolific author, by the time the '90s dawned his music was a Hollywood staple, with a number of hits including Black Rain, Backdraft, Thelma & Louise, A League of Their Own, and Years of Thunder. Zimmer scored his biggest commercial hit in 1994 with his work on Disney's The Lion King; the film's soundtrack garnered multitudinous awards, including an Oscar, a Golden Globe, and 2 Grammys. Later altered for the Broadway stage, The Lion King took home the 1998 Tony for Best Musical as advantageously.

In 1995, Zimmer likewise earned a Grammy for his work on Ruddy Tide, which was prestigious as Best Original Score Written for a Motion Picture. Another Academy Award nomination followed for 1996's The Preacher's Wife; that same year, he earned BMI's prestigious Richard Kirk Award for lifetime accomplishment. 1997 byword Zimmer realize another Oscar nom for his work on the James L. Brooks comedy As Good as It Gets, repeating the exploit for the one-third consecutive year in 1998 with his score for the Terence Malick chef-d'oeuvre The Thin Red Line. His contributions to The Prince of Egypt likewise earned a Golden Globe bid earlier that same year.

The 2000s marked an auspicious clip in the composer's career, as he continued scoring the biggest A-list films of the time of year, averaging iI or trine blockbusters a year, including Hannibal, Prizefighter, The Last Samurai, Batman Begins, and The Da Vinci Code. In 2007, Silva Screen Records released Plastic film Music of Hans Zimmer, a double-disc set highlight his achievements as a movie-music shaper. Later in 2007, he reworked Alf Clausen's zany Simpsons base into a traditional symphonious film score on The Simpsons Movie.
