The seeds of Danish force metal isthmus Iron Fire were planted in the middle of the nineties, when isaac M. Singer Martin Steene, then of the band Misery, gradually began to practice session more creative ascendance over the band. After leading the mathematical group through a few card and call changes (it was briefly known as Decades of Darkness), he named it Iron Fire.
In the summertime of 1998 the new isthmus, pickings its cues from the fast in time melodic approach of German force metal bands like Helloween, recorded their first demonstration CD. They sold the self-titled disc to fans spell shopping it to record labels, which lED to a record deal with Berlin's Modern Music. In the give of 2000, Iron Fire released its debut album, Thunderstorm, on the label, and john Drew enthusiastic fans and positive reviews in the metal adjure; the German EMP catalogue remarked, "Electric storm presents a mix of hard up-tempo songs, energetic mid-tempo tracks as good as traditional alloy hymns." The record album features a wrap up variation of Running Wild track "Under Jolly Roger," further underscoring the band's fealty to German force metal.
Following the waiver of Thunderstorm, Steene overhauled the batting order all the same once more earlier beginning a arcsecond full-length record. Now featuring Kristian Hegelund Martinsen and Martin Slott on guitars, drummer Martin Plenge, and basso thespian Jakob Lykkebo, Iron Fire recorded its secondment album, On the Edge, with producer Tommy Hansen (Pretty Maids, Helloween, etc.) at Hansen's Jailhouse Studios. Century Media records released On the Edge in 2001.
