Agyness Deyn Axed as The Face of Burberry
Agyness Deyn has faced a minor setback in her bid to challenge Kate Moss as the queen of the catwalk -- after being axed as the face of Burberry.
The British supermodel, born Laura Hollins, was canned by the fashion label and replaced by her former pal, Rosie Huntington-White, another Brit also tipped as the next Kate Moss.
The pair are said to have fallen out as they battle to be the new number one star of the catwalk.
21-year-old Rosie, who is in Burberry's autumn and winter campaign with actor Sam Riley, has complained how Agyness no longer speaks to her.
She revealed, "Agyness was really sweet and we used to hang out all the time. But when she became big she dropped me.
"I tried being her friend and texted her repeatedly for six months but she never replied, so I just gave up.
"Personally I think Agy's look is a one-off season look but she has been so publicized and has such a big profile she'll make it in the long term now. I wish her well."
Rosie is dating Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood's son Tyrone.
She has previously fronted big ad campaigns for lingerie firm Victoria's Secrets and has also been photographed for D&G Underwear.
In 2003 she was studying at Tavistock College when was discovered doing work experience as a booker at model agency Profile based in London's West End. Rosie was immediately signed up by Profile Model Agency and is now set to become a big name.
Agyness will continue to front campaigns for Burberry fragrance The Beat.
The 25-year-old also recently branched out from modelling by providing backing vocals on a single by the band Five O'Clock Heroes.
Speaking to Britain's Radio 1 yesterday, she said, "I'm not going to quit modeling and start being the next Whitney Houston. You'd be surprised how much money I'm on."
