Il Divo set a fresh nerve on popular songs, utilizing their prodigious voices, full looks, and cultural diversity to bring their romantic blending of classic and pop music to audiences just about the earth. Formed after a biennial search, the quartet is comprised of American tenor David Miller, pop French isaac Bashevis Singer Sébastien Izambard, Swiss tenor Urs Buhler, and Spanish baritone horn Carlos Marin. Their eponymic debut album was released in April of 2005 and featured a diverse play list that included a brood of the Toni Braxton hit "Unbreak My Heart" and the Frank Sinatra banner "My Way," as well as "Nella Fantasia," a new arranged -- with vocals -- adaptation of "Gabriel's Oboe" from Ennio Morricone's score for The Mission. It became a massive world polish off, and the quartet returned in 2005 with Ancora, a ten-track assembling of new music featuring the tally "I Believe in You" with Celine Dion. The likewise themed Siempre was released the following year.
