Jay-z Sued For Copyright Infringement

JAY-Z is facing an $88 million (GBP44 million) lawsuit from a wannabe rapper who claims the star stole his songs.
Mitchell Rose filed suit in New York last month (23May08) alleging he met the star - real name Shawn Carter - at a boxing match in 2001, and handed over a CD of his songs.
He claims Jay-Z later used the music without crediting or compensating Rose.
Rose, is seeking $88 million (GBP44 million) in damages for "loss of opportunity and punitive damages for mental distress".
