While one might envisage Maynard James Keenan would have enough exit on to maintain him in use as frontman with the groups Tool and A Perfect Circle, in 2007 he decided he cherished yet some other electric outlet for his musical ideas and launched a young act, Puscifer. Described by Keenan as "the infinite where my Id, Ego, and Anima all come unitedly to exchange cookie recipes," Puscifer is non organized as a traditional "rock band," just as a musical collective in which Keenan hindquarters work with a rotating lineup of like-minded artists. Puscifer's early recording projects featured a magnanimous be sick of famous musicians, including Tim Alexander from Primus, Tim Commerford and Brad Wilk from Audioslave and Rage Against the Machine, old King Crimson penis Trey Gunn, fiddler Lisa Germano, pop singer/songwriter Jonny Polonsky, and actress and singer Milla Jovovich. The first Puscifer spill was a single issued in early October 2007; the A-side was "Cuntry Boner," a gleefully dysphemistic song in the beginning recorded by Electric Sheep (a unretentive lived punk rocker band featuring Adam Jones and Tom Morello old age ahead they would severally link up Tool and Rage Against the Machine), spell the flip side was a cover of the Circle Jerks' "Public Up My Ass." Later the same month, Puscifer's debut album, V Is for Vagina, was released; like the exclusive, it was released in the United States by Keenan's have Puscifer Entertainment label, and it featured ten original songs, many of which were dominated by slow only potent dance grooves preferably than Tool's prog metallic element textures. Keenan has aforementioned the group has no immediate plans to hitch, only he is collaborating with several filmmakers on scant movies based on the songs, which could be shown at live performances.
