Caught Live: Alicia Keys

She may only be 27 years old, but soul diva ALICIA KEYS proved to a packed-out
Manchester crowd just why she is the Queen of modern soul last night.

The sultry songstress breezed effortlessly through a sensational set leaving
revellers thirsty for more.

Opening to the Asian flavours of MISSY ELLIOTT's Get Your Freak On, the
pint-sized beauty treated the crowd to a bevy of hits – notably from current
album As I Am.

Donning skinny jeans with a revealing figure-hugging top, Keys was at her most
spellbinding when sat alone at the piano – proving to be the heartbeat of
her performance.

She evoked memories of STEVIE WONDER with girl-power anthem Superwoman
and PRINCE's How Come U Don’t Call Me Anymore as she gloriously paid
tribute to one of her musical heroes.

Highlights included gospel-tinged Wreckless Love and Woman’s Worth from her
Grammy award-winning debut album Songs in A Minor.

Fans were kept on tenterhooks awaiting her biggest hit Fallin’ before nearly
blowing the roof off for the finale by singing in unison for No One.

Keys reasserted herself as one of the most talented singer-songwriters in the
world and gave a masterclass in entertaining.

Perhaps a certain AMY WINEHOUSE could do worse than seeing Ms Keys
perform.
