Within the distance of triplet albums, Powderfinger emerged as one of Australia's virtually popular radio-friendly stone bands. They hail from Brisbane, noted for its subtropic clime and its oft reactionary "cryptical union" politics. The band grew out of a three-piece, comme il faut Powderfinger in 1990 with the gain of 2 more than members, including singer/guitarist Bernard Fanning.
