Emmerdale Star To Leave Itv Soap

Emmerdale actress Roxanne Pallett is to leave the ITV soap opera later this year.

Pallett, 25, plays Jo Smugden in the show and reports claim she will leave within the next six months.

While no official statement has been given by ITV, producer Anita Turner is quoted by the Press Association as saying: "Roxanne has given a fantastic performance and it will be an eventful six months for Jo."

The 25-year-old joined Emmerdale in 2005 and her character has experienced a dramatic few years.

Jo was involved in a love triangle with Andy and Katie Sugden before marrying Andy while he was in prison.

At present, Pallett's character is the victim of continuing domestic violence at the hands of her husband.
