Punching Russell Crowe The Subject Of New Song

In a week that saw comedian Joan Rivers call him a “f*cking sh*t” live on British television, Russell Crowe has now been immortalized in a new song called ‘The Night I Punched Russell Crowe’ - and his rep is not amused.
Los Angeles indie band Gaelic Storm, most noted for featuring in the movie ‘Titanic’, have turned an incident involving the ‘American Gangster’ star into a catchy little number.
Reliving the night, band member Patrick Murphy reveals, “I was managing an Irish bar in LA. He drank there. I was on first name terms with him. But one day he came in and lit up a cigarette. I asked him nicely to put it out. You weren’t allowed to smoke; he knew that.”
Murphy continues, “The next I knew a brawl broke out and I gave him my best shot - right on the nose. I am ashamed to say I ran for my life.”

Crowe’s representative, Alan Nierob, informed the New York Post’s Page Six that the incident never happened and that, “I don’t know if he [Crowe] knows anything about it. Who cares?”
